1985年获上海交通大学工学学士学位，1988年获上海交通大学工学硕士学位，1996年获牛津大学生理学博士学位

1996-2002年在中国科学院上海生理研究所、中国科学院上海生命科学研究院任副研究员，2002年至今任上海交通大学生物医学工程系教授、博导。
