1995年于华中农业大学获经济学学士学位，2001年于西南农业大学获理学硕士学位，2005年于中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所获博士学位

近年来主持的课题有： 1) 2016-2019，主持国家自然科学基金项目“气候变化影响下青藏高原种植区的扩张：监测，模拟与适应对策研究（41571093）”。 2) 2012-2016，主持国家自然科学基金重大国际合作项目第四课题“城市化对山区土地利用及生态压力的影响——以重庆统筹城乡改革实验区为例（41161140352）”。 3) 2011-2013，主持国家自然科学基金“大渡河上游典型区近30年来生计多样化与土地利用变化（41071066）”。 4) 2007-2009年，主持国家自然科学基金项目“青藏高原东部典型样带农牧民对气候变化的适应能力—8个村的综合研究（40601006）”。 5) 2005-2010年，主持973项目（2005CB422006）专题“大渡河上游不同地带的生计多样化水平及其对气候变化的适应策略”。 6) 2005年至2007年，参与国家自然科学基金项目“大渡河上游土地利用/覆被变化的环境效应及居民响应——从局地到区域的综合研究（40471009）”，负责土地利用变化研究和农户调查工作，第二完成人。
