在中山大学任教前曾在美国约翰霍普金斯大学（博士后）和马里兰大学（研究教职）深造多年

先后主持国家自然科学基金 (面上项目)、国家自然科学基金海外合作基金以及科技部973课题和广东省科技计划等科研项目
