1984年8月于原扬州师范学院数学系毕业留校任教,历任扬州大学理学院数学系主任、数学科学学院院长。
2003年12月至2012年7月任江苏师范大学副校长。
2012年7月任扬州大学副校长。
2017年6月任扬州大学党委副书记、副校长。
