主要从事植物系统发育和进化研究,目前的研究工作集中在两个方面:(1)植物发育调控基因在不同类群植物基因组中的分化和表达式样及其对植物系统发育过程的影响(Evo-Devo),重点研究与种子性状发生相关的发育调控因子的起源、进化及其作用机制;(2)表型可塑性变异的分子基础及其生态发育过程,着重从生态-发育(Eco-Devo)角度探讨喜旱莲子草广泛适应不同生境的分子和发育机制及其对入侵力的影响。
