酵母分子遗传学与遗传工程。重点研究马克斯克鲁维酵母（KM）快速生长、杂交进化、高效表达外源蛋白的分子遗传机制；研究建立了国际上第一套KM蛋白质高效表达系统，食品安全级；研究高效表达类病毒颗粒疫苗、食品酶、饲料酶等外源蛋白的重组KM工业菌株，并建立工业菌株工艺包技术，拥有自主知识产权，为动物疫苗企业、生物酶企业的发展提供先进技术支撑。
