The protocol divided a transmission interval into two parts for exchanging control information and data respectively. In addition to evaluating system saturation throughput of the proposed protocol, a tridimensional multichannel Markov chain model to describe the sate of the cognitive users (CUs) in dynamic spectrum access is presented. The proposed analysis applies to the packet transmission schemes employed by the basic, RTS/CTS access mechanism adopted in the normal IEEE 802.11. Analyzing the advantage of the two methods, a hybrid access mechanism is proposed to improve the system throughput. Simulation results showed that the experiment results were close to the value computed by the model (less than 5%), and the proposed protocol significantly improved performance of the system throughput by borrowing the licensed spectrum. Cognitive users should particularly consider the problem of interference with licensed users and satisfy the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) requirement at the same time. We propose a new iterative algorithm using the game theory in this paper. We consider not only the SINR requirement as other game algorithms but also the in?uence of power threshold. The variable power limit is the characteristic of CR. We prove the convergence of the algorithm and the existence of Nash equilibrium. According to different power thresholds, we give an approach for solving the problem of coexistence between licensed user and cognitive user in a cognitive system. The algorithm has the advantage that it can be distributively implemented, and the method converges relatively fast. A weighed cooperative detection based on data fusion is considered. Cognitive radios sense the channels with energy detection independently and send the results to a fusion centre, in which the observed data is fused by the specific weighing. The optimal problems are formulated, which minimize interference and maximize throughput respectively while keeping the probabilities of false alarm and detection within the allowable limit. In particular, the cooperative detections in single channel and multi-channel are both investigated. The approximate optimal weighed factors are obtained by Cauchy-inequality. Based on the weighing, we transform the non-convex optimal problem of multi-channel detection with mixed parameters and non-convex constraint into a convex problem with single parameter and linear constraint, which can be easily solved. Simulations show that the proposed algorithms can achieve lower interference and higher throughput respectively, and the detected performance of each sub-channel can also be guaranteed. In this paper, we mainly investigate the spectrum sharing problems in a cognitive radio network. We formulate the spectrum sharing problem as a game between primary services, and use Cournot game to obtain the optimal strategies for primary services. Furthermore, considering the reasonableness and fairness in spectrum sharing process, we propose a function of price depends on the channel quality and the QoS performance. Nash equilibrium is considered as the solution of this game. As static Cournot game may not be realistic, we proposed a dynamic game related to the learning rate. Then, the stability condition of the dynamic game for spectrum sharing is investigated. The optimal strate-gy which maximizes the utility of primary service can be obtained by contacting the size of spectrum demand for secondary users and the size of spectrum offered by primary services. Two thresholds which are decided by the restriction probability are adopted to improve the performance of the cooperative detection, and energy combining based on weighing is used to improve the performance of the detection in confusion area. Previous SNR estimators are mainly based on the data symbols or the preamble symbols. However, most existing EVM estimators need the factually received symbols modulated and even coded again to recover the symbols in the receiver. To improve it, a good new estimator that utilizes Zadoff-Chu sequence as the preamble is recommended and adopted in this paper. Its performance is examined and compared with Maximum-Likelihood (ML) estimator by the measures of the normalized bias and the normalized mean square error.
