1990年毕业于兰州大学，获理学学士学位。1996年毕业于卫生部兰州生物制品研究所，获理学硕士学位。1999年毕业于中国预防医学科学院病毒学研究所，获得博士学位

1999年在国立卫生研究院国家癌症研究所（National Institutes of Health，National Cancer Institute）从事博士后研究，随后任职美国国立卫生研究院研究员（Title 42 VP fellow）

持国家重点基础研究计划“973”课题、国家自然科学基金项目等。
