1987年毕业于北京大学化学系，获理学士 1992年于北京大学化学系获理学博士学位。

1992－1994在北京医科大学(现北京大学医学部)药学院做博士研究。 1994年任北京大学化学与分子工程学院副教授。 1995.8－1996.2香港中文大学化学系访问副研究员。 2000.3－2002.1年美国科罗拉多州立大学化学系和范德比尔特大学医学院微生物和免疫学系博士。 2004－2007任北京大学化学与分子工程学院教授。 2007年北京化工大学理学院教授。现任理学院副院长，有机化学系主任。
